Patches…They are one of the hottest trends in fashion today. They tell our story without saying a word, and let everyone know who we are, what we are doing, and why we are there. TreyBatesDesign believes in moving people to interact, talk, and share your brand and there is no better way to do this than with an embroidered, woven, or chenille patch.
We offer embroidered and woven patches that are produced with 100% rayon or polyester thread while our chenille patches are made with 100% acrylic yarn and can be sewn on any base material such as felt or twill. We can even supply patches with a combination of woven label, embroidery, and chenille. This combination is ideal for an embroidered patch that has very small lettering leaving a more precise and readable finish.
Our patches, can be made with a multitude of backing techniques such as iron -on, Velcro, or pressure sensitive backing.
Our patches have a choice of Merrow (Over-locking Stitch Border), satin border, or of course border-less, which allows the embroidery house of your choice to use the patches as an appliqué in which they will apply a tack down stitch such as a zig - zag stitch to affix the patch to the garment while in production.

- Embroidered patches can be sewn on all types of base fabric including Twill, Canvas, and Felt.
- Chenille patches are very popular with athletic organizations.
- Chenille patches are made using a 100% acrylic thread.
- Chenille patches can use up to 6 colors in each design.
- Chenille patches have a look that resembles carpet. This is created from the twist and pull of the thread in production.

Color Options
Woven and embroidered patches are made using 100% Polyester and Rayon yarns approved by "Oeko-Tex" standards. We have a great selection of threads to choose from.
Chenille patches are made with 100% Acrylic yarn and also have an extensive color chart.
Provide us with a Pantone Matching System (PMS) code and we will do our best to match the appropriate thread.
A scanned proof is always sent before production for approval and we will always gladly send you a hard sample for your inspection upon requests.
Border Options
- This is the traditional smooth border you get from an embroidery machine.
- This type of border must be used be on very complex shapes.
- Backing techniques can be applied to the back of this border technique
- Satin borders (because they have the iron - on backing applied to the back of border as well) when applied with a Heat Press , give a clean smooth finish that closely resembles actual machine embroidery on a garment.
Satin Border
- Sometimes known as Overlock sewing or Overlocking is done on a special merrow border sewing machine.
- This type of border cannot be done on very complex shapes.
- Backing techniques can only be applied to the back of the patch itself when using the merrow Border
- Merrow Borders provide an excellent vintage or old school look.

Sampling Options
A scanned sample is always sent before production for approval.
- The sample is scanned is 300 DPI for your detailed inspection.
- Scan is always on a rulered art board for measurement accuracy.
